Host/Account Level Role Security

Users have a role at two different levels: The website host level and the study level. By default, roles and permissions at the host level are already configured for most scenarios. That is why, when first adding a new user to a host (via the User Manager), most users will have the role "No Access", meaning they do not have any host level access. Instead, their access is purely at the study level where they will have a different role (e.g. Monitor, Investigator, etc.).

For access to host level role configurations, contact support. 

Once enabled Host Administrators will be able to define new host level roles and configure the permissions outlined below. 

Note, if a location is not indicated, it is found under the website host menu.

Grant Access

Allows access to the Account Manager page for viewing details about the host account.

Build Web Pages

Grant Access

Gives access to creating customized pages at the host level when a study level theme is not being used.

Device Dictionary

Grant Access

Gives access to the device dictionary (currently only available via the TrialKit mobile app) used for defining device sizes to create targeted device form layouts via the form builder in the app.

Form Builder

Grant access

Gives access to the HOST LEVEL form builder used for building forms collected in the host level User manager, Site manager, and study manager. Note, this is separate from the study level form builder where subject level forms are built.



Add New Form

Allows role to add new HOST LEVEL form



Select Existing form

Allows role to select a HOST LEVEL form



Export forms

Allows role to export selected HOST LEVEL form to the private or public library



Import forms

Allows role to import any selected form to the private or public library



Delete forms

Allows role to delete a selected HOST LEVEL form



Save changes to forms

Allows role to save changes to forms at the HOST LEVEL form builder

Form Library Manager

Grant access

Gives access to the form library manager used to create private form collection libraries used when exporting forms from the form builder



Add form libraries

Allows role to add private form libraries to host.



Edit form libraries

Allows role to edit private form libraries to host.



Delete form libraries

Allows role to delete forms and private libraries in the host.

Host copy study

Grant access

Gives access to the option for copying studies across any host accounts which the user belongs to, or creating copies of studies within a host even if the user does not belong to all the studies.



Copy to website host

Allows role to perform copy of a study TO a selected host



Copy From website host

Allows role to perform copy of a study FROM a selected host

Pages granted to all Users

Grant access

Gives access to the option to grant users access to all pages. This is a reset to default permissions for the user roles.

Reporting Objects

Grant access

Gives access to create basic visual reports for displaying on custom web pages, such as the home page.

Gives access to role permissions at the host level



Add new roles

Allows role to add new role to the host



Edit existing roles

Allows role to edit existing role in the host



Delete existing roles

Allows role to delete role in the host

 



Grant rights that have not been granted

Allows role to grant rights that ALL ROLES THAT HAVE NOT BEEN GRANTED.  (Used when you add bunch of new forms.  

Be careful here if you set up forms to be viewed and not edited to some roles.



Grant form rights

Allows role to grant form rights to roles.  (View and/or Edit rights)



Blind fields

Allows role to blind fields to roles in set up in study configuration

Site Manager

Grant access

Gives access to the Site Manager for viewing sites across the entire host and which studies they are part of.



Add new site

Allows role to add new sites to the host



Edit existing site

Allows role to edit existing saved sites in the host



Delete site

Allows role to delete existing saved sites in the host

Study Manager

Grant access

Gives access to the Study Manager for viewing all studies on the host account and how many sites each one has attributed



Add new study

Allows role to add new study template in the host



Edit existing study

Allows role to edit existing study template in the host



Delete study

Allows role to delete existing study template in the host

Theme Manager

Grant access

Gives access to configure custom theme (logo/colors) at the host level. This will be overridden by any themes at the study level if they exist

User Manager

Grant access

Gives the user access to the User Manager for viewing all users across the host account and which studies they are part of



Add user

Allows role to add new user to the host (Remember you still have to add new users to each study you want them in.  Adding user is two step process)



Edit user

Allows role to edit existing user to the host



Delete user

Allows role to delete existing user in the host



Suspend user

Allows role to suspend user in a host
